GMA, Cavite – On March 9, 2024, the Municipality of General Mariano Alvarez (GMA) came alive with vibrant energy as the “Sayaw sa KABUTEhan” Grand Streetdancing Parade took center stage in celebration of the 16th Kabuteño Festival. This highly anticipated event was attended by an array of participants from public and private schools, organizations, government officials, employees, and local businesses, all joining together to honor GMA’s cultural diversity.

“Halika na’t magsama-sama na tayo sa bayan na puno ng saya!”

The parade highlighted Mayor Maricel Echevarria-Torres’ initiatives in promoting GMA as the “Home of Culturally Diverse and Multitalented Kabuteños,” showcasing the community’s creativity, talent, and unity. A significant moment of the event was the debut of the official Kabuteño Festival Theme Song, “Bayan na Puno ng Saya” the first-ever theme song
created in the festival’s 16-year history.

The well-attended parade further solidified the Kabuteño Festival as a cornerstone of local culture and pride, celebrating the talents and unity amidst diversity of the Kabuteños.
